His wish to make everlasting traditional crafts got him to one of the most charismatic venues in Madrid, where high quality made things pack his workshop.
What is the meaning of your art?
Young people are recycling themselves and betting for old trades adapting them to current times. Gastronomy, fashion, crafts… made the old-fashioned way. Luckily these trades are getting their full value again.
Why do you think people like so much what you do?
Because of the back story and the value of the piece itself; that of a boy with his little workshop at the middle of Madrid. Many of the foreign clients who come to the workshop usually leave also with a picture with me.
From an Extremadura little town to Malasaña… anything in common?
Malasaña gives off that little town feeling. When I first arrived, I loved the feeling of proximity with the people from the neighbourhood; and being so close from Gran Vía while keeping the comfort of having dinner in thousands of different options only 5 minutes from home.
What would you say might be going on in Madrid at this moment?
