Actress and Microteatro co-founder, an innovative format: several plays of less than 15 minutes for a public of less than 15 people, repeated simultaneously every night.
What is the difference between Microteatro and conventional theatre?
Microteatro, made out of short plays, bypasses the public fear as to give theatre a try so they might enjoy it, get enticed by it to even attempt longer plays. It presents itself as an introduction with this performing art.
You mentioned that in Microteatro wonderful things happen… Tell us about your own «something wonderful» from Microteatro.
Our philosophy has always been such of performing even before a lone spectator. I remember my first role and there was only one person there. We were only two actors and him. When it was over the boy was crying out of emotion thanking us for such an experience.
Microteatro is only five minutes from the hotel, what would you tell a tourist to come?
That they won´t live another experience of the kind; they can visit wonderful things of Madrid, eat very well… but nothing like living the Microteatro, the great quality of the plays and the actors performing that close to you… We have a monthly play in English or subtitled, though given the small size of the venue one can perfectly live the experience, even not fully understanding Spanish, because the public is inside the play.
How would a Microteatro play be at the 7 Islas Hotel? Where would you place it and what would happen?
The lobby counter is spectacular… It would be something like that: two travellers from different countries meet in the Lobby of 7 Islas Hotel and fall in love…
Our three most special rooms. Totally designed by Kikekeller, they provide a private terrace with a view of Madrid sky, bathtub or shower and yoga kit. Handcrafted carpets from Gan Rugs and therapeutic and fresh toiletries by Malin + Goetz.
